Anthology: Think small.

Saturday

When we go on about the big things, the political situation, global warming, world poverty, it all looks really terrible, with nothing getting better, nothing to look forward to.  But when I think small, closer in -- you know, a girl I've just met, or this song we're going to do with Chas, or snowboarding next month, then it looks great.  So this going to be my motto -- think small.

If you have only seen the movie Atonement, also by Ian McEwan, you really should read the book.  One of my favorites, so much that I will probably never see the movie.  (Not seeing the movie does not apply to Pride & Prejudice and the Colin Firth/Jennifer Ehle A&E movie.  I have read the book and seen the movie an equal number of times.  It does apply to the Kiera Knightley movie, however.)
