This blog is a celebration of my 16 years in a creative business. I have so many ideas to share with you. (Photos! Memories! Gifts!)
It's also a way for me to work through all the questions slogging it out in my head these days. (I'm hoping you'll help with that part.)
When I was out of college and working for the man, I dreamed of doing my creative thing every day, making stuff, writing stuff, using my gifts. I knew at 25 to be grateful for each success. I've known all along how lucky I am.
And yet the struggle to stay afloat is wearing me down. Some days the ideas flow and I can't wait to share them. Some days are not so great, but I can at least focus on the journey, the big picture. (So much easier now that spring is finally here!) And some days I seem to completely forget what it was I was after in the first place. Let's just say I wonder if Dreamland will have/should have/can have a 17th Anniversary.
So I guess my blog will be a little bit of this, a little bit of that: a lot of awesome ideas, a little whining, a plea for insight here & there. Stick with me.
Gina
P.S. I will draw a name from all those who post a comment on my very first day of blogging for a free creative something from me. (I don't know what yet, but I promise it will be worth your while!)
Congrats on 16 years! I remember Mrs. Larson in 4th grade, too. I hope I can help you on your journey as you ponder what the future holds for you and Dreamland. Until our next chat...take care and enjoy the spring!

Gina-
Congrats on 16 years!!! That has to feel so good...you are a success and I love your talent you share with all of us.
I am starting a new chapter in life...I am staying at home full time! Yesterday was my last day at Target after 10 years! I can't believe I was there for 10 years, it was great, but I am so happy to be at home with the girls.
I am looking forward to this new chapter in your life...your blog. It is my adult interaction during the day of being a stay-at-home mom and I can't wait for all of you wonderful ideas. I have to get those scrapbooks done in a month for the girls! I need some great & easy ideas.
Thanks for being you!
