Another difficult week family-wise, and I am not the sort of writer who can use my blog for therapy. A little focused on being home, being present, being who I am, and here are two books that speak to all of that:
A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg of Orangette
The Gentle Art of Domesticity by Jane Brocket of Yarnstorm
Thinking about purchasing both for vacation in August: perfect curling up at the lake books. (And, no, it is not lost on me that both of these authors have the talent for making their personal lives and challenges interesting to read.)
After a couple of non-starters this spring, I have some ideas for summer I'll be ready to share on Monday. And a giveaway later in the month to celebrate the first anniversary of lettergirl!
I feel nearly famous!
Honestly . . . I can't keep up with the book stack that I've already got going (if you & your kiddos haven't read "Ida B." that's a sweet one!), but it never hurts to know about more good books.
How I love to read!!
Hang in there, you! Have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Shana

Gina,
Thanks for these book ideas. They look like good ones. Maybe I can sneak them in between book club reads.
Sending good wishes on the wind across the river to you,
Jill

Look like lovely books for a relaxing vacation of happy domestic dreams. Here's to June bringing a refreshing, lighthearted day your way.
