(I love that Amelia took a photo of her either/or interview, the texture of the paper is so much more interesting than my plain jane scan.)
Here is what Amelia had to say about a couple of her answers:
I love mornings but it isn't always easy to wake up and enjoy them fully. Last year I set a goal to wake up and watch the sunrise every day during the fall. I made it a few weeks, and then the cold started keeping me in bed. I guess I have the consolation that there's always tomorrow. Maybe I'll be able to make a better commitment in the future.
It was very hard to choose between mountains and beaches. Both have a wonderful refuge vibe about them, to me. But I grew up closer to mountains, so they win. I almost circled both town and country, but again, my childhood memories are all country. Those childhood memories seem to carry so much weight--I wonder why? But the thought of the big city has always enchanted me endlessly. Someday I will live downtown somewhere, right in the middle of all those tall buildings and busy urban spaces.
I love this pattern! It is from Amelia's design portfolio (which she calls a work-in-progress). I also poked around her blog a bit (which is about art and design and whatever other randomly interesting stuff she happens to have in her head) -- immediately went to the posts about books, of course, and learned two very important things: she doesn't think Jane Eyre is all that (me too!) and she thinks Holmes never disappoints (me too again!). Amelia, could you share a few of your favorite books in the comments today? Just whatever comes to mind.
Thank you for participating!
hmm... I usually answer the favourite books question with authors. Oscar Wilde. Jane Austen. I have crazy taste in books and I read all sorts of odd stuff. but here is a short list of books I've really gotten attached to:
The Picture of Dorian Gray
The Beekeeper's Apprentice
The Book Thief
Neverwhere
the Gormenghast trilogy and Pullman's His Dark Materials are also really cool. and of course--just about anything that features dear Sherlock Holmes.
