Took a few minutes on Monday evening to paint the sleeves for this wrap top. I'd cut out the grey layer last spring, but couldn't settle on a second color until I realized I had just enough pink leftover from another (stalled) project. I cut out the pink layer on my birthday last week, one of several things I crossed off my list that day. I've gotten a good jump on the stitching while watching movies in the evenings this week. On the one hand, school has started; on the other, our kids like to watch movies with us (and with a 12-year old in the house, I worry those days are numbered). Here's a sketch of the project idea, though I'll play with the wrap part once I'm nearer to finishing (buttons? ties? stitched closed?):
Looks lovely, Gina. Are you following a pattern?
I always find the cutting part the hardest. You have to be home, have time to do it all at once, have a clear space and allthe materials ready. Whereas titching can be done here and there when you have a little spare time - on the bus or at a park bench even.
