Almost 20 inches of snow in one day, followed promptly by subzero temperatures...I'm really going to need a strategy to survive this winter. Five things to repeat to myself:
1. I really do enjoy a brisk walk.
2. Yes, the snow will probably be here for three more months. But that's really only 12 weeks. And a week goes so fast. Right?
3. The kids finally get to experience their first snow day.
4. When my work is done, I can hunker down with projects. And cocoa.
5. Winter exercise: shoveling, ice skating, snowshoeing.
Trying to stay positive, look on the bright side, count my blessings (and there are many).
Way to keep it positive, Gina! I love the bit about it only being 12 weeks and a week goes by so fast right? I'll have to try to remember that logic!

I am so impressed! I never thought I'd say this but now that we live in Houston, I am jealous. I have found that I actually miss the snowy winter. It just does not seem like the holidays without it! Hope that is at least a little encouraging.

Thank you especially for point #2. I will surely remind myself of this on a regular basis through this big winter.
