For the last few years (5? 6? 7? honestly, I've lost track), I've been working with Camp Odayin on the design of their annual benefit party invitations, along with matching stationery for each year. I love how this year's notecard design turned out and would love to share a few packages with you.
I've got three packages to give away (each set has eight folded notecards). Just leave a comment on this post telling me what you love most about winter--even if you don't have "real" winter where you live. Enter by Sunday, March 6th, and on Monday morning I'll randomly select three winners. Good luck!
It doesn't snow often here in Texas, but when it does...I adore it. I love the silence and beauty snow creates. I love playing in the snow with my 2 year old and I adore coming in from the snow and cold for a nice hot cup of cocoa.

I love winter in Michigan - I love snowy days, fires in the fireplace, cozy handknit clothes, wool socks, boots, fuzzy mittens, steamy hot chocolate with a marshmallow melting on top. I love ice on the inside of the windows, low frosty fog banks, ice floes on the river, Coast Guard cutters keeping the shipping channels open, showshoeing, sledding, and cross country skiing. I love needing to wear warm clothes, the smell of wool drying by the fire, and cookies baking in the oven. I love cuddling with kids and cats under cozy blankets, and weaving or knitting by firelight.
Winter is my second-favorite season - after autumn!

I've been living here in El Paso Tx and for the last 6 mos. So my winter has been a new experience. We had snow here twice and that is new for me so I would say the has made it a nice experience.

Those are so cute! Here in CA, I love the crispness in the air. The air is fresher in this smog-laden area because of wind and rain. The light is more intense, the sky bluer, the clouds puffy and white, and all the green that is still abundant is beautiful in the sunshine. Oh, and comfy sweaters and fuzzy socks too!

I live in Seattle and love how the rhythm of life changes in the winter. It slows down, we spend more time together as a family and with friends -- inside, yes, but also out skiing and doing other snow sports. I do much more cooking and more creative projects. It's a nice change from the manic pace that spring/summer can take on as we try and squeeze as much as we can out of the warm and sunny days.

The excitement and joy it brings my 5 year old daughter.

I spent five years in Texas (Austin) and will admit, after always being in the midwest, I didn't miss winter too terribly. Now, back in MN, I will say that although winters are personally tough for me, there is something about going "face-to-face" with long winter that makes me truly savor my spring and summer days. It gives value to joys I might otherwise overlook. For me, that is a good thing!

Winter means getting to wear turtleneck sweaters! which I love... but most of the time they are too warm on the Central Coast of California. Our winters mean crisp, frosty mornings with scattered clouds in the afternoon. I've never lived where it snows so at some point in my life I think I should experience a cold winter! Don't know if I could get my hubs to agree - he was born & raised in Ohio!! Although we've had our share of rain; I would like MORE... I know; it sounds odd, but rain means reading when I get home from work, soups in the crockpot & lots of hot tea w/scones...

beautiful! i love winter...i am a cold weather girl so i love the chilly weather and i love the snow. we don't get a ton, so even the "call" for snow, the hope that it "might" snow is just so fun. I welcome spring somewhat, but winter and fall have my heart...so these are just perfect note cards!

I live in the Seattle area, and we normally get at least 1 snow each winter, but nothing too horrible, maybe an inch or two. I love the peace and calm following the snow - when it's bright and so quiet!

I love having hot tea and hot chocolate with my boys after we go sledding!!

I love the way it looks after a snowfall when the snow rests on the tree branches!

I love the change of seasons...my body feels ready for them every year. For winter I love the first snow fall, it is so pretty. But, now I am ready for spring...new life to begin and to get out of the house!

Early on in winter I love the baking and staying warm and cozy with the family. A couple of months later what I love about winter is that it is almost over! =)

Oooh, what a lovely giveaway!! My most favorite thing about winter is the FOOD and togetherness that comes with it.

Cute cards, Gina! They look a bit Scandinavian to me.
I love the nights in winter when the sky is purple and so is the snow.

Winter always means a trip to the Canadian Rockies to visit my family for the holidays. When home, there is nothing that delights me more than taking an early morning walk in the freshly fallen snow. Everything - the crispness of the air, the sound of the snow beneath your feet, the wafting aromas of a fire in the hearth to greet you when you return - is magical with a new snowfall.

In the deep sleep of winter, where I come from, skylight is clear, stars twinklier, and the iridescent sheen of thousands of water-droplets-turned-glimmery-snowflakes grace us with sheer delight for months & months on end. Here in the northland, the wind howls and the icicles tingle and the trees creak--taught & sturdy. I love to hike in boots or snowshoes amidst nature's beauty, in the cold-cold-nose-hair-freezing bitterness--particularly after a fresh snow fall; and see what I can see...

I love winter for Christmas but come March, it better start to MELT and prepare for April warm weather! Things I actually like about winter is the snow falling, kids playing in snow, snowball fights, sledding, bright lights (sun on snow)... that's about it (of course, seeing my dogs enjoy playing in snow!)

I lived for ten years in Michigan. While I needed, desperately, to leave the long grey winters, I also miss days when the snow fell in huge, slow flakes. I'd sit by a window with a cup of tea, listening to mellow music and feeling as though time were pausing, just for a moment.

I'm in college and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first big snow when all of my friends and I have a snow day and stay in with hot cocoa and movies and then later join outside for a snowball fight!! I also love the cute cute outfits that emerge on campus! OOo and I love baking with my grandma in the winter time, we make all sorts of festive goodies. Oh, there's just so much to love about winterr!!

I live in Wisconsin, and I love snow. Especially freshly-fallen snow. I also love snow days, when you are all cozy indoors and can watch nature cut loose out the window.

Mulled wine and mince pies, chilli hot chocolate, the chance of snow (especially where I'm originally from in north-east England) and all the amazing Christmas lights up in the centre of London. And, of course, cheesy music and lots of presents under the tree for everyone.
