Juliet and I started this journal a few months ago, passing it back and forth under our pillows -- no schedule, no deadline, just a chance to share what's on our minds.
Now, do I really need a basic guide to sewing quilts? I just loved the colors in this one so much I couldn't help myself.
Wasn't I just saying that collage isn't my thing? The author's blog is worth a peek too.
I've been spending a lot of time on textiles lately, and ignoring my other interests. (Life is cyclical that way, isn't it?) I am anxious to get inspired by this book from Shutter Sisters.
When Santa brought this for Juliet, I secretly wanted one for myself.
ok so now i need to go BACK to the book store! another suggestion for you...creative illustration workshop for mixed media artists...a FANTASTIC book by katherine dunn...it has changed how i create! sincerely LOVE it!

Thanks for the suggestion, Sharon! Have you seen Drawing Lab for Mixed Media Artists? That is a great one too -- and I found it at the library!

The shutter sisters book looks fantastic. I am interested in doing art that tells a story rather than just makes a pretty picture. I'm taking Vivienne McMaster's e-course (you are your own muse) with this in mind as well.
p.s. I commented re the comment you left on my blog re creativity and spontanaity but wasn't thinking and did it over there where you won't see it. sigh.
