That's right, I'm taking the whole day to play. You can play too...by entering my birthday giveaway: tell me what movie you most enjoyed watching this summer (old or new), and you'll be entered in a drawing to win your choice: a set of five of my favorite handwritten quotations OR any return address stamp. Leave a comment on today's post, I'll draw the winner on Thursday morning. I still love my birthday!
Happy birthday! May your day be sunny (at least inside if it isn't outside) and full of special memories. :) This summer, though I did enjoy watching and rewatching a bunch of movies (on Netflix, iTunes and my stash of DVDs), I think what I enjoyed most was several online video tutorials I discovered, mostly on lettering and illustration techniques. They really inspired me to get a little more artsy and I am itching to keep learning. :)

Yay! It's your birthday! I love that you take the day to do whatever you want to do.
Best movie this summer was Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark. I think its a classic and Jack made the movie for me by dressing up as Indie and totally getting into character while we watched.

Happy Birthday! Surprisingly the movie I enjoyed the most this summer has been Captain America. Funny and charming. Second on the list is Soul Surfer. The cinematography was fantastic and so wonderful to see someone doing what they love to do.

Dearest Gina,
Wishing you an absolutely beautiful birthday & year ahead. I am grateful for your place on the planet, for although we have never officially met face-to-face, I look forward to scanning my Google Reader & seeing "Dreamland" updates EVERY SINGLE work day!!
Thank you for that!
My most favorite film of the summer was enjoyed just the other day-- http://www.papermanthemovie.com/ Truly a treasure.
Enjoy!

Happy birthday!! It sounds like a dreamy day- and a dress form! I don't even sew and I want one. ;) My favorite film this summer was "Midnight in Paris"- really charming and whimsical. I also really liked Larry Crowne- that whole "going back to school as an adult" thing has always appealed to me.

Happy birthday Gina! Have fun with whatever you do. I just love birthdays. We watched The A Team recently, and I was surprised that I liked it. The show was always kind of cheesy, but I like what they did with the movie. Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper and Patrick Wilson are nice on the eyes too. :D

Happy Birthday Gina!
I love your list of play.
I just re-watched Top Gun (for about the 80th time). How is it possible that movie is 25 years old ... ouch.

May you have a day filled with wonder, and a fantastic year!
Lots of great films, but I have to say that MegaMind made the whole family laugh out loud. And boy did that feel great.

Happiest of Birthdays!!! I have to say a movie that I recently watched and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it was The Tourist. If this movie had been made 50 years ago it would have starred Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant and I loved it for that 60's caper feel.
