Today's giveaway: your name (or your husband's or your child's or your family's) written by hand in any of my lettering styles and presented to you as a pdf -- use it as an email signature, print your own stationery, heck you could even get a tattoo.
(In my shop, you can buy just your name or your name and address.)
To enter today's giveaway: Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite book from the past year -- fiction or non-fiction. (For the record, I loved all the random comments yesterday!) The contest will close Sunday evening, May 20th, and I'll draw a winner on Monday, May 21st. Please be sure to leave your comment here on the blog, and not on facebook. Good luck!
My favorite read was "Room" by Emma Donoghe. A very interesting topic - so well written and engaging.

Well, it's actually been a while since I've read an adult book, now that I have a newborn. Haha... so I have to go with the latest set of books I got for my baby which I read/play with her - "Sassy Baby's First Books." I especially love the photo album because I put our pictures in it, which she loves to stare at!

I'm going with The Housekeeper and the Professor (Ogawa) - a truly delightful read.

How nice it would be to have a life so simple that I have only ONE favorite from the last year (smile). That said, the books/stories I have found the most useful recently are: The Artist's Way; "What was I Scared of?" from The Sneetches; Man's Search for Meaning; "Hans, My Hedgehog" from The Storyteller; Therapy for Adults Molested As Children: Beyond Survival(hope that's not too real, but you remember I'm a therapist, and this is the best book I've found to help my clients this year); and Princess Smartypants. I use these books and ideas from them daily in my life and work.

My recent is Shades of Grey. It's a bit racy and juicy and is all the talk these days.

"The Magic Half" by Annie Barrows (who also writes the fab Ivy and Bean series)--a tween book read with my 11 yo. Really enjoyed the story, loved the special time with my girl.

I love The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb. It's been out for years now but remains one of my favorites. Wicked by Gregory Maguire is amazing. I'm in the middle of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Amazing!

Message from an Unknown Chinese Mother: Stories of Loss and Love was my favorite read from 2011. A tough, insightful read...especially as a mama of two adopted from China.

Oh gosh - this is so hard. I am a bookworm ... I just finished the 50 Shades of Grey series last night ... but my FAVOURITE book from the year I would have to say so far it was "Home Front" by Kristin Hannah.
