Now, this is a bit of a stretch for me. As you know, I like the big huzzah of showing projects when they're all done: look at this! isn't it awesome? it's almost like magic!
Today I'm going to share an idea I've been mulling over for the past six weeks, but which I'm ready to make real. (Posting it here makes it real, right?) I'm planning a trunk show of my hand-stitched garments here at my studio in St. Paul. Skirts and scarves and shawls and anything else I can stitch up between now and October.
But I'm a just a bit nervous about pulling this off. My heart is in it. What if I fail? So true to my nature, I've made a little chart to remind me of the who's (who can help me, in the periwinkle color), why's (why I'm excited, in the blue-green color), and what if's (what I'm afraid of, in the sort-of-yellow color). And now that I've done it, I'm going to tuck it away in my Circa notebook and get back to the less-scary part: making stuff that's worth having.
Gina, I love that you're branching out into new creative areas. I wish I had the courage to do the same!
That said, I am taking a big leap this summer and I hope it will jump-start my creativity...I was helped by a process similar to your lovely chart. I guess we visual thinkers really do need to SEE it.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!(knitting, sewing, graphic stuff)

If you don't sell everything at your trunk show and you decide to list them for sale, I'll surely find something I love. Hand-stitched, I die! (Not hoping that happens, but if it does...)Destiny
